About Veyil

Veyil App helps you find the perfect seat in the vehicle you are traveling so that you will be exposed to less sunlight during your journey. The app calculates the maximum amount of time you will be exposed to sunlight during your journey and suggests the best side of the vehicle to sit, minimizing sun exposure.

The App is free to use and available to the public. Users are required to put in the travel details, which the app then uses to calculate the entire journey duration and the amount of sunlight you will be exposed to on either side. The algorithm provides accurate results according to the journey calculation.

Back in 2019, our creators were traveling in public transportation in the scorching heat of India and had the idea of creating a solution for finding the best seat in public transportation with the least exposure from the sun. The algorithm was perfected over time with major data points, and the team worked through countless iterations on the UI and UX of the project.

After extensive refinement, the version being used now was finalized for public usage by 2024.

Our philosophy is to find small and simple solutions to everyday problems in the most creative and innovative way possible. We believe this app will help a large number of people who rely on public transportation for their daily commute find the perfect seat.
